Date Wheel Freebie and some other chit chat...
So, like always, everyone in the digital scrapbooking world is hard at work creating wonderful things to share with the rest of the world! There is also a fun chat that is happening TONIGHT! (Wednesday) My pal Mega-Doodle Inspired is hosting a chat at Scrappin Freestyle tonight at 10p EST. I'm sure there will be a fun freebie for attending, and she's always got some awesome things to talk about!
NOW, I have another freebie for you!! This is probably one of my favorites so far. I made an action to make date wheels that match ANY layout or kit you are making... I love it so much that I've already made several to match past & upcoming kits! Here are 4 that I have made and wanted to share with you!
Fun isn't it?? They are all in .psd format so you can easily adjust them to reflect the dates you are scrapping. Just click the preview to go to Digital Scrap Mall and download it. Be sure to check the WHOLE store out because there are other freebies in there too!! :)

Ooooh! Two Freebies!!!
So I know my posts have been few and far between ... but I've been b.u.s.y! (to say the least!) I made the trip back to Kentucky from North Carolina with a stop in between. It was a long trip. I'm glad to be back in Kentucky, even though I miss my family... I missed my desktop computer!! (Sad isn't it??) One thing I surely miss about NC is that this year there are no cicadas. They have invaded our back yard here in Kentucky. They are absolutely the most creepy insect I have ever encountered and I can not wait until they are gone! They attach themselves to EVERYTHING. If you walk through the grass and disturb one, they come flying at you like a kamikaze, screaming the entire way. LOL. I also wanted to make a little announcement. Czianya and I have decided to open our own store. It's a different kind of store though. We are going to specialize in hybrid items, but the big difference is our incentive to designers who sign on with us and a subscription service. I can't spill all the beans now, but just wait... it's pretty exciting!! In the mean time you can check out www.hybridmommas.com to sign up for updates on the site, and check out our blog for hybrid tutorials and other tid-bits of information! :) Anyhow - on to the freebies, yea? Alright... check out this great father's day kit.. Isn't it awesome? It's perfect for father's day ... or just pages for that backyard bbq you had last weekend... but guess what? There's more... that's right... a "My Pop" add-on... and the very best part? It's free. For a limited time, of course. :) Hopefully with this little add-on, all the dads and dad related activities are covered! :) -- Now, on to the second freebie. The wonderful Czianya has a wonderful CT member who created desktop backgrounds using our " To Infinity ... and Beyond" kits. There are 3 different sizes, and they are just so stinking adorable!!! Another Juliana Freebie!

Juliana ... a freebie sneak peek..
Before I get to the freebie ... if you haven't already scrolled down, lol ... I wanted to remind you of the designer call at Scrap Debris. It really is a great place and a great bunch of ladies. Also - be sure to check out my newly revised TOU! All of my personal use products are now S4O/S4H friendly. You should snag a copy of my TOU and stick it with the files you already have. :) Alright guys ... check this out. I have a little sneak peek freebie for you. It's a little girl kit .. I'm calling it Juliana. This is what I'm doing... I'm splitting it up. Part of it will be available here, and the other part will only be available at Scrappin Freestyle. So, for now - here is a little bit of the freebie. I hope you enjoy it! These colors are girlified version of the Jaxon kit that I made recently. Leave a little love on the 4shared or here if you download... I like to hear your feedback!! As always - please do not direct link to my freebie. If you want to share with someone, share my blog URL! :) Thank you! Labels: Freebie

What a week...
Well, I am happy to say that my husband and all of our belongings have arrived in Kentucky. The hubs is safe and sound, but we won't know about our stuff until they unpack it tomorrow. Surprisingly he got a house almost immediately. I was expecting at least a few days wait ... nevermind hearing that our stuff had already arrived. HUGE shocker there. lol. I spent all day Monday running back and forth between our old house and my parents house and then all day Tuesday and part of today cleaning like a madwoman. It was exhausting, but everything has gone fairly smoothly. The only hitch is that one of the genius packers packed a flippin' skylight cover!! Luckily, my rental company is an OUTSTANDING group of people and they are allowing me to have hubs mail it back instead of charging us for it. The receptionist laughed when I told her what happened, her husband was military so she understood. I've been told by several people that it was a good thing that I had DS back at my mom's house because they probably would have packed him too! lol... On a bit of a sad note... My grandfather passed away on Friday. That is part of the reason I've been MIA a bit longer than I had intended. His passing wasn't sudden or anything, he's been very sick for a very long time .. but it was still a bit unexpected. He planned a very nice ceremony with a bag pipe player and everything. It was very sad to see him go, but I know he is feeling so much better now. He has really suffered a lot these last few years. I know that he is now in the place he has wanted to be for the last 30+ years, with my grandmother - his one and only love. Ok - enough sad stuff... on to some FUN! :) I have finally finished my Scrap Debris collaborative kit!! I think it turned out great! Here is my part of it : This kit is no longer available for free. You can purchase it for 1$ over at Scrap Debris! :)Be sure you check out everyone else's contributions too ... You can find Lisa's part here : OScrapMomO's PlaceLabels: Freebie
New kit & styles in store & a little freebie
This week is going by insanely fast!! I can't believe it's Thursday already. My DH is having PRK Eye surgery on Monday so I'm trying to get a bunch of stuff done before he's down. I dunno what all this eye surgery entails as far as recovery, but considering the Army actually gave him Vallium & Percocet, the pain is going to be rough. (Anyone who is associated with the Army knows that you get motrin for everything ... You could be on fire and they'd give you motrin .. lol ..) To top it all off - I may be moving earlier than expected! My mom isn't sure that she will be able to drive up with me & Jaxon at the end of March so we may be going with Brandon on/around March 2nd. If I were talking, you'd be able to hear the disappointment in my voice. She's supposed to be calling me with ther verdict later on so we will see... Anyhow ... please check out my new kit at Scrappin Freestyle. It's very bright and fun. I named it after a good friends baby girl who was born on Jaxon's 2nd birthday. The name fits it perfectly. When I think of a Caitlyn I think of a cheery, vibrant little girl and that's exactly what this kit looks like! The participation bonus for the Sketch challenge over at DSO comes from this kit. SO if you want a little sample, be sure to head over there and participate in my challenge so you can get it! This kit is really large! 20 papers, and 30 elements in all. Be on the look out for a Quick Page album and maybe even a brag book! Also, I made two sets of glitter styles. One set it multi-colored and one is solid colored. They were tested in CS2 & CS3. Both are commercial/personal use.
Now, on to the freebie! :) I decided to put these little valentine elements together. I did them in traditional Valentine colors, so that hopefully if you have a kit that you love but just need that something extra - this will be it! Enjoy!! Just click the preview for download ... please don't share the direct link with anyone ... point them to my blog if you want to share! :)

When it rains....
it flippin' pours. ugh. So... ready for some complaining?? Well, yesterday, I decided that I should upgrade my web hosting with Yahoo to "unlimited storage, unlimited file transfer" so that I could provide my freebies (and the 1$ kits) to you guys with out you having to wait to download. It doesn't cost much more than what I was already paying for my photography website (I'd link you - but you'd see a bunch of NOTHING). It SAID that my service would NOT be interrupted and the world would be golden. BULL HOCKEY. Now - when you go to www.herronstudios.com there is NOTHING. Even though all my files are where they should be, never even moved them ... just plain NOTHING. So, I've been on hold (for the 2nd time today) for the past 31 minutes with Yahoo. I haven't even talked to anyone about this yet. I'm so aggravated. Ok, so now let's ADD to that aggravation. I'm sitting here at the computer this morning - browsing blogs, checking e-mail doin' whatever ... and I realize the vent that is at my feet is blowing cold air. So I wait for it to heat up ... and I wait ... and I wait. After mumbling a few obscenities, I walk outside .. barefoot in pajamas .. to check the gas gauge. Sure enough, it's on ZERO. We JUST bought 100 gallons on the freaking 14th of January. In 11 days we apparently went through two hundred and fifty four dollars worth of gas. Un-freaking-believable. Luckily, I caught it BEFORE the weekend actually got here. We usually wake up on a Saturday morning with our toes and noses about to fall off. Of course, since our gas tank can only be serviced by one company, and they are independent, they don't do weekend OR after hours calls. We got lucky this time considering we won't have to go the whole weekend with out heat. About the only decent news we've gotten this week is that there is on-post housing available at Fort Knox. We were told by another soldier here that he called (he's goin' there too) and was told that there were no vacancies for anyone below E-7. Well, yesterday I received an e-mail from housing saying that what that soldier told us was wrong because there were close to 400 spots open. Woo-hoo! It really cuts down on my stress level to know that we are going to have a place to live as soon as we get there (with little to no waiting) - and to know that we aren't going to have to search for amenities off-post. I've never lived away-away from my family before so this will be interesting. I went to Appalachian State for 3 years, but it was only 4 hours away (as apposed to 10) and I was home every other weekend. Speaking of the moving thing ... My poor son. I know he is going to have a hard time understanding why we can't just drive around the corner to Mi-Mi's house anymore. For the last two years, we've spent every Saturday with my parents (his mi-mi & pop) and several times a week my mom comes by our house and either takes him to her house or sticks around here for a bit. So ... to hopefully ease the transition, I am going to make him a family book. I'm thinking an 8x8 album with pictures of everyone he loves. His Godmom, Amber, suggested that my husband write a story to go with it so we can read it every night and he can say "night-night" to everyone in the book. I'm super excited about the idea .. and I already know what papers I'm going to use, LOL. I'm going to use the Run kit from DigiTreats. The colors fit my son to a T, and there are enough to complete and ENTIRE album. So yea ... maybe if she will allow it, I'll share the album as quick pages. Well - if you read my complaints - I thank you. :) Here's the freebie. I made it a while ago but never shared it. I still think it's super cute, so I decided to go ahead n stick it up here. this kit is 45.2 mb's and includes: 5 papers 1 felt heart 1 gold heart 1 gold eyelet 1 heart stickpin 2 ribbon 1 cardboard frame with ribbon wrap Sorry! This download has expired as a freebie! Please go to www.scrapdebris.com to purchase it for 1$!
Please do not share my 4shared link. If you want to share my kit with someone, please link them to my blog! I hope you all have a WONDERFUL weekend!
*note: I've been on hold for 73 minutes now .. have not talked to a person, at all. I've pee'd 3 times, paid the gas guy, posted this freebie, AND fed my son lunch. I think yahoo is going to lose my business.

Two more little freebies...
I had an e-mail in my box this morning that had a LO using my Dino Kid kit attached to it. I tried to e-mail the person back and that stinkin' "Mailer Daemon" got it ... SO, if you are the person who e-mailed me the really CUTE LO with the two boys, THANK YOU for sending me your LO ... it's ADORABLE! I'd loooove to display it here on my blog if you will allow it! Anyhow ... I just love stacked photo frames ... The LO that I chose for the pixie pick yesterday had a really cute stack of frames and it inspired me to make some of my own... I still haven't pefected the look I want - but .. I decided to share them with you anyways. They are PSD files and each mat & frame are on seperate layers. When I use them (in PS CS3), I just place my photo on the layer between the mat & frame, rotate/resize to fit and then hit ctrl+alt+g to clip the picture directly to the mat. Feel free to e-mail me if you need help. you can download these (here). I didn't include the drop shadow on these because ... well ... because I forgot, lol. BUT, it does look better with a dropshadow once your frames, pictures, and mats are all merged together. You can download these (here). Remember, please do not hot link to my files. If you want to share with someone, send them to my blog! And!! Feel free to send me what you create with your stuff ... I LOVE to see what people are doing!! :) Labels: Freebie
I love RAKing! ... and a Freebie!
Oh yes ... you guys have amazed me! :) Thank you for all of your comments on the Dino Kid kit ... it really makes me very, very happy. :)
Another thing that makes me super happy ... RAKing! I've done a total of 3 RAK's for DSO since I became a Pixie - and I'm LOVING it! Two of the people expressed great gratitude for my RAK which made it 10 times better! The person I RAK'd today went the extra step and linked me to what she did with the QP I made for her. I tell ya, that made my WHOLE day! :) You can see what she did with it HERE. Anyway - here is the Dino Kid kit .. but this time it's GIRLIFIED! :) I'm sure that girlified is not a word - but I don't really care. :) Here's the preview & links... snag it up before it moves over to Scrap Debris!
This kit is 24.4 Mb's and contains: 9 papers 2 ribbons 3 dino stickers 1 paw print sticker 1 chipboard circle and 1 frame! Sorry! This kit has expired as a freebie! You can now find it at Scrap Debris for 1$! Labels: Freebie
Dino Kid Freebie Kit
Ahh .. it flippin' snowed again today. I had just joked with Bunny that I was not even close to being jealous of it snowing over there in KY ... of course I woke up the next morning to about a half inch of snow... a few days later (today) - they are callin' for up to FOUR inches. I know it's not a lot - but I am NOT a snow person. Even after living in the mountains of NC for 3 years - I just don't enjoy it! Jaxon on the other hand, was loving it. I didn't think we were going to get him to come in. I didn't get any pictures because it was dark by the time we came home ... but I will certainly get some tomorrow morning! A little news today too! :) I have begun to set up shop over at Scrap Debris! As of today, all the links to freebies that are older than 7 days are expired. Pretty soon you will be able to purchase my kits over at Scrap Debris for just one dollar. Lisa is looking to add more designers too, so if you're a designer be sure to check the site out! Now on to the good stuff... The inspiration for this kit came from a pair of Jaxon's pajamas. He is really into dinosaurs right now so he has a ton of clothes with dinosaurs on them. I've done this kit in blues & greens, but I plan on re-doing it with a girlier feel. I *know* there has to be SOME little girl dinosaur fans out there somewhere!! :) This kit is 17.7 mb's and includes: 9 papers 1 frame 1 chipboard circle 4 dino stickers 2 ribbons The papers are 12x12, 300dpi and in JPG format This kit has expired as a freebie, you can purchase it at ScrapDebris for $1! Oh!! Oh!! Oh!!
LoL. I am completely beside myself right now... I ran across this awesome tutorial. If you don't feel like checking out the link, it's a tutorial on making curled ribbons. It's crazy simple and it came out GREAT. The ribbon that I started out with isn't my best one, but I still love the curled version! This tutorial really has opened a whole new area for me ... now that I know how to bend & shade, I can adapt those techniques for other uses! Woot!! :) Here is a little freebie for you ... nothing too exciting, just what I created with the tutorial. Enjoy! :) there is a pink one in there too. You can download them (here) I'm pretty sure I'll have many more ribbons to come. I just gotta make sure I get my class work done, lol. The beauty of online classes is that you can do them whenever you like ... 1am, after several hours of digital scrapping... haha ... :) Labels: Freebie
Support Ribbon Freebie
I've discovered the wonderful world of the scanner. :) I've scanned ribbon, clips, paper cutouts ... everything I could think of so far. I had made some support ribbons last year while my husband was deployed so I scanned one of those... I figure they will come in handy for SOMEONE .... So far I've only done four different colors - they were what came to mind right away, so if any of you have a specific color you want, or if you'd like me to add some text, let me know. you can download these (here) Labels: Freebie
January Color Challenge - Freebie!
I made this kit for the January Color Challenge at Hummie's World. You should check the site out - she had some pretty awesome tutorials, and lots of great challenges. :) I've seperated this into two zips - the paper zip is still 89 mb's - sorry. I still have a lot to learn, so some constructive criticism would be much appreciated! Well, it's off to bed for me! I hope you all have a safe and HAPPY New Year!! This kit has expired as a freebie. You can purchase the full kit at Scrap Debris for $1! Labels: Freebie

I almost....
forgot about the brown papers!! Just proof that Christmas really is a stressful time of year, lol. I love Christmas, but thank goodness it's OVER! My "Trail Guide" kit has really become much bigger than I ever anticipated. Total there are 18 papers, and 26 miscellaneous elements. I guess I get carried away, lol. I'm having a blast learning little techniques and what not to make all the elements and different kinds of papers. I've even started working on another kit. :) Anyway - here are the brown papers... This kit has expired as a freebie. You can purchase the full kit at Scrap Debris for $1! Labels: Freebie
Trail Guide - Orange Papers

Any suggestions are more than welcome! :) This kit has expired as a freebie. You can purchase the full kit at Scrap Debris for $1! Please do not hot link my stuff, if you want to share them with others, share the link to my blog. :) Thanks!! I'm not sure when I will have my elements ready to go since tomorrow is Christmas Eve. We are super busy for the next few days, so there may be a bit of a delay. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas! :)

Trail Guide
Well, after a long time of oogling at other designers work, I have decided to try my hand at designing. I'm far from pro - but maybe someone out there in the digi world will enjoy my first creation. I'm calling it "Trail Guide". The colors come from one of my son's outfits. Tonight, or this morning rather, I am just uploading the blue set of papers. I'll be uploading the rest later on. I've never used 4shared to actually share things with others (I've always been the downloader), so please let me know if something isn't right. :) Please leave a comment here or on the 4shared if you snag this. :) Here is a partial preview: and here is the preview of the blue papers This kit has expired as a freebie.
